Speaker Bios > Richard Kinchlea

Since 2004, Richard Kinchlea has been one of two Emergency Management Coordinators for the City of Hamilton and is now Hamilton’s designated Community Emergency Management Coordinator.

Richard is the Past President of the Ontario Association of Emergency Managers and sits as the OAEM Representative to the Continuity of Government Sector Working Group of the Ontario Critical Infrastructure Assurance Program.

He continues to be involved with the development of the Emergency Management profession through working with the World Conference on Disaster Management and the Canadian Centre for Emergency Preparedness, instructing at Centennial College in Risk Management and sitting on the Program Advisory Committee for Sheridan College’s Emergency Management Program.

Richard obtained his Bachelor of Environmental Studies, with a degree in Urban and Regional Planning and has also attained the Associate Business Continuity Professional designation from the Disaster Recovery Institute.
