Speaker Bios > Renee Jarvis
Renee Jarvis is a civilian member of the Hamilton Police for the past 26 years. She is currently the Labour Relations Coordinator for the Hamilton Police Service, overseeing all Labour disputes within their community.
Since 1987 Renee has also been a volunteer member of the Hamilton Police Critical Incident Team and has volunteered her time in assisting her fellow co-workers who have been involved in critical incidents.
Today Renee co-ordinates the Hamilton Police CIRT Program and is an active member of their response team. She is also instrumental in the development and implementation of training for all Hamilton Police personnel in Critical Incident Stress and Stress Management.
She further developed protocols and guidelines for their volunteer member’s, developed a business plan for the Critical Incident program and assisted in the development of the Hamilton Police Service’s Policy and Procedures relating to Critical Incident Stress.
Today, with her unwavering commitment and the team that she leads, their Critical Incident Program is well recognized as a respected and effective intervention for their emergency personnel.
