Speaker Bios > Brenda Leonard RN, BScN

Brenda is a Registered Nurse and Project Coordinator for simulation based learning at McMaster University. She received her nursing diploma from Mohawk College in 1987 and completed her BScN at McMaster University in 2008. For over twenty years Brenda worked as a critical care nurse specializing in intensive and cardiac care.

Recently, she accepted a position at McMaster University to facilitate nursing undergratduate student learning through the use of high-fidelity simulation. She has spoken on other healthcare topics and has experience with critical incidents within the workplace.

Through discussion and inquiry the participants of the workshop will have an opportunity to share in a personal experience of post traumatic stress and get a better understanding of recognizing and managing stress related issues.
